Prep-kitchen Assistant (flexi/student)

At Baracca, our vibrant good-vibes-only restaurant, we’re always moving forward. That’s why we’re looking for a passionate kitchen assistant (flex, student) in Leuven to support us in the heart of our kitchen.

Who are you?
You’re not just someone who loves food, but you’re also hands-on and ready to get involved in all the kitchen essentials. From slicing and dicing, to vacuum sealing, weighing, and preparing ingredients—you’ve got the skills to help things run smoothly. Cleaning up and organizing the kitchen? No problem! You know how to keep things tidy and ensure everything is in order.

You are:

• Motivated and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable and organized, with attention to detail.
• A team player who thrives under pressure.
• Fluent in English (and Dutch is a plus).
• Experienced in working in similar horeca-related roles (even if minimal—training is provided!).

Your key roles & responsibilities:

• Assisting chefs with food preparation (cutting, weighing, vacuum sealing, etc.).
• Preparing ingredients in advance to streamline the cooking process.
• Keeping the kitchen area clean and organized during service.
• Supporting in cleaning operations and ensuring HACCP standards are met.
